This is one of two paper cut designs of mine that are going to be published as greeting cards by <a href="https://www.artiststowatch.com/">Artists To Watch</a>. According to their website (<a href="https://www.artiststowatch.com/">artiststowatch.com</a>), &#8220;Artists to Watch is an award-winning, greeting card company. For 25 years we have been publishing the work of talented and independent artists from around the world, crafting high quality cards that meld visually intriguing images with thought provoking words.&#8221; They use recycled paper for their cards and print with soy-based inks. The catalog with my cards should be coming out in a few weeks for orders for early 2011. I&#8217;ll keep you up-to-date.</p>

It&#8217;s pretty much wrapped up now and I&#8217;m pretty excited about it &#8212; it&#8217;s something a little different than the norm and was really fun to work on. I&#8217;ll post the final design when it&#8217;s ready to hit bookstore shelves.<br />

There&#8217;s this line from Kerouac&#8217;s <em>On The Road</em> that comes to my mind when I read Ryan&#8217;s work - I would gather this aptly describes him:<br />
<em>&#8220;[...] the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars [...]&#8220;</em></p>
