Lawrence Arts Center Entrance Display
I made my way to Lawrence yesterday to check out my cut paper art lightbox panels displayed in the entrance to the Lawrence Arts Center. The total height is approximately 15 feet tall.. I have yet to see them lit up at night, but one of these evenings, I’ll surely find myself in that lovely city. (FYI, and no big deal, but the columns accidently got switched. The cat should be facing the birds, etc. But I think it still works!) Check out the Lawrence Arts Center online at www.lawrenceartscenter.org. I will be part of another exhibit there called Fresh Start: Works in Progress that opens on January 7.

I’m in agreement with Wyeth
“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape – the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show.” – Andrew Wyeth

Native American Illustrations
I’ve been working on a series of illustrations for Native American folk tales accompanying the Bradford Exchange’s Native American Golden Dollar Uncirculated Coin Collection. Two of my illo’s are in the picture above. Made from cut paper, of course. You can check it out in more detail in their online store: http://www.bradfordexchange.com/products/45227_sacagawea-coin-collection.html

Public Paper Cuttings
This morning I dropped off 10 large light box panels with my artwork on them to the Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, KS, to be displayed for a couple months over their entryway facing out the front of the building. The Lawrence Arts Center is located at 904 New Hampshire Street. If you’re out and about and the sun has gone down, take a drive by and check them out all lit up. I imagine they’ll be installed over the next couple days. FYI, these are the biggest birds I’ve ever cut out! Each panel is approximately 28 inches high by 33 inches wide.
