I’ve been a little distant.. mainly hiding in my bedroom biting my nails. I’ve got many, many events coming up this summer, and am on the verge of a panic attack thinking about the amount of work I need to create. And trying to create it. It’s all very, very exciting – this being my first summer of full-time art. It really is the busy season. I’ll be ready for a relaxing March, 2011. Feels good to be busy though.

Be sure to keep up-to-date with upcoming events either on my main blog page or at my facebook page. During June, I’ll be hitting up Topeka, Salina, and Kansas City for festivals. I’ll also be teaching a shadow puppets workshop in Leavenworth at the Carnegie Arts Center from June 21 – 25. I’ll be a roadster in July traveling to Colorado & South Dakota for two festivals, and then hitting the skies for a week in NYC & Long Island for some vacation time.

My biggest excitement came yesterday: I’ve been invited to participate in the 79th annual 2010 Plaza Art Fair in Kansas City. It is rated one of the top 5 art fairs nationwide and there are over 1500 applicants for 240 spots. Artists from all over the country are involved, and only a handful from the Kansas City area. I feel really, really lucky.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Until my next post, I’ll be off gnawing on my fists in anxiety. 8]
