This year’s 48th Mid Winter Art Fair at Ward Parkway Center in Kansas City, MO, was a success!

The weather was great, the word was out, and people came! And I had some really great neighboring artists to spend my weekend with, which always makes it THAT much better. Not to mention, I was within 15 seconds walking to Starbucks, so I was able to keep myself caffeinated during those long hours.
I was also humbled and honored to be awarded First Place for the mixed media category. Just to be there is an honor, but to receive special recognition for my work means a lot.
Thank you to all the familiar and new faces that came out to support. See you next year!

I was recently contacted by Julie of 8balloons to be part of her blog feature on paper cutting artists. She asked me a series of great questions regarding my artistic inspirations, workspace, etc. Check it out here:

Just a quick little ditty to show y’all how I do my thing… and because I like making videos…

5 x 7 inch Wycinanki (polish paper cutting) inspired paper cutting. I’ve got flowers on my mind.. I love winter, but I’m more than ready for spring. I want to lie in the grass.

This is a mock-up design that I did for something awhile back, and I felt like I should post it because it makes me think of spring and summer. And I could use a little spring and summer about now. These cold temperatures have been at our heels long enough.

When in Pennsylvania, go see STEVE– the band– cause a ruckus. They’ll steal your chickens and burn your barns. Just kidding. (I obviously don’t make a living writing promotional copy).
