Today I’m finishing up my work that I’ll be donating to the Lawrence Arts Center for their annual invitational art auction. The title will be “Congruity” and I’m using some patterns from nature that I’ve used before.. more soon.

Crocuses in my yard

“To a Crocus” (1827) by Bernard Barton

Welcome, wild harbinger of spring!
To this small nook of earth;
Feeling and fancy fondly cling
Round thoughts which owe their birth
To thee, and to the humble spot
Where chance has fixed thy lowly lot.
