I’ve fallen off the blog bandwagon, but I’ve been doing some non-stop cutting for the last couple days after a long weekend away. My elbow on my cutting arm is creaking, but I’m happy to say that I just put down my knife for the night after finishing what may be one of my favorites I’ve made so far. Images to come. And a couple more days of paper cutting to come. And Topeka’s Mulvane Mountain/ Plains Art Fair coming up this weekend! One of my favorite and best shows of the whole year.
It’s this month’s full moon that inspired this 2012 paper cutting of the same title. 11 x 14 inches.
8 x 10 inch paper cutting. Inspired by infinite patterns of interconnectedness in nature in which giving and receiving occur without expectation of reciprocity.
I’m almost finished adding color to this one. I can say that it’s certainly going to be something a little outlandish compared to my usual.. The color red will be prominent. I’m using this also as the cover for the summer edition of the Lantern Journal, a literary journal that I did the spring cover for. I’ll be doing the next two seasons as well.
