Digital collage with cut paper elements. This is another test design I did for something awhile back that’s been sitting in a folder ever since. I kind of like the concept and might have to do something on a larger, more detailed scale.
Back when I did the paper cutting for the cover image for Time Out Chicago, I had to wait (contractually) before I could put the image out in the public in any other form than the cover itself. Here’s what it looked like before I sent it off to them where they photographed it on the wooden background and put their logo, text, etc.
I was approached by Ami of SpecialTea Brew to do a logo for this up-and-coming loose leaf tea & accessories company based out of the greater Redmond/ Seattle area. Ami liked one of my original papercuttings (Tea Time – see it here) and we worked together to modify it to fit into the overall concept of the company. Because SpecialTea Brew is going to be donating a portion of proceeds to breast cancer research, a pink ribbon was incorporated to signify such.
