Whoaaaa.. I’ve been working like a maniac. I’ve got an exhibit coming up at the Carriage Factory Gallery in Newton, KS. I’ll be delivering ~20 works next weekend, and the official opening is Feb. 7. I’ll post more details about that shortly.
I’ve mostly been totally engrossed in animation work. I’m doing a series of short animations for an upcoming documentary that will premiere on PBS. I’ll also post more details about that soon.
This is a detail-shot of a work that will be in the Newton exhibit. And if I owe you an email response, or other correspondence, I haven’t forgotten! I’ll get back with you very soon!

Imagine Goods asked me to create a t-shirt image that embodies “empowerment” as part of their Artist’s Series. From their website, “Made by survivors of trafficking, your purchase empowers women and their families to live changed lives!” Read more about it and purchase it here: http://imaginegoods.com/collections/t-shirts/products/fly-free-t-shirt

I was one of 4 artists participating in this year’s ArtShares program through the Lawrence Arts Center. From the LAC website: “Thirty “shares” will be made available for purchase by local art collectors and patrons – each share will include three limited edition works of art from the four artists and two tickets to a performances at the Lawrence Arts Center. The “shares” will be delivered to “investors” at an exclusive event/art party that will provide further opportunities for artists and patrons to connect.”
This year’s artists are Bailey Marable, Grace Peterson, Angie Pickman, and Jeremy Rockwell

For my Limited Edition, I produced a series of 23 paper cuttings called “Kansas Natives,” all based on native plants, herbs, etc, that grow in Kansas. Made with black paper and Kansas maps. Each measures 5 x 7 inches.

I used a cutting machine to cut this snowflake out of a sheet of stencil plastic. I originally cut a similar snowflake by hand to use for the Nov/ Dec issue of Midwest Living – you can see in the 2nd photo how they used it as a powdered sugar stencil on a sheet of brownies. I’ve made the stencil available for purchase in my Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/213836994/cake-brownie-stencil-as-seen-in-midwest

I spent part of the day Saturday at the McDowell Sonoran Nature Preserve near Scottsdale, AZ. More photos to come. This was my favorite.
