Notre Dame de Sion Fundraiser

Kansas City folks: On the evening of Mar. 31, I’ll be at a fundraiser at Notre Dame de Sion in Kansas City, MO, with my artwork, prints, cards, etc. I have a few tickets left (valued at $10 each) that I’m giving away. If you’re interested, email me at angela@ruralpearl.com with how many you need and your address. I’ll let you know if I’ve run out. Thanks!

Mini Midi

midi

I got this neat little cheap-o midi keyboard that plugs right into my computer, so now I can make weird music to go along with my weird animations! Exciting times ahead. New animations coming soon.

Art Archive + Updates, etc.

Here’s another little something that was saved from back in the day.. Probably 1st or 2nd grade, maybe? I’ve always been a cat girl. (As I write this.. from my laptop in bed at 4am.. there is a cat sprawled across me trying to block my keyboard).

Anyway, please forgive my sparse posting this week. Tuesday I finished up another illustration for the Bradford Exchange. I’ve got 5 commissions in the pipeline. I’ve also been invited to be part of the Art Auction at Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, KS, so I’m working on something for that.

I should also mention that the Gift Shop at the Kansas Museum of History/ Kansas Historical Society is now a retailer of a selection of my greeting cards. So if and when in Topeka, KS, stop by, and edumacate yourself about this lovely state. They are located at 6425 SW 6th Ave.

Lawrence Arts Center Entrance Display

Lawrence Arts Center Display

I made my way to Lawrence yesterday to check out my cut paper art lightbox panels displayed in the entrance to the Lawrence Arts Center. The total height is approximately 15 feet tall.. I have yet to see them lit up at night, but one of these evenings, I’ll surely find myself in that lovely city. (FYI, and no big deal, but the columns accidently got switched. The cat should be facing the birds, etc. But I think it still works!) Check out the Lawrence Arts Center online at www.lawrenceartscenter.org. I will be part of another exhibit there called Fresh Start: Works in Progress that opens on January 7.
