Or, a picture of my grandmother reading LIFE magazine – approximately 1944. She still looks about the same today. This is one of my favorite photos ever. (Click the picture for a larger version on Flickr)
No “new” paper cuttings posted here for awhile – but I’ve got some things in the works, including some new work for an exhibit at Crosstown Station in Kansas City. This is the same place I exhibited last November and they’ve asked me to put some things up on the wall during the month of February. So stop by if you’re in the area – they’ll be up around Feb. 4.
I’ve also got a pretty big art fair coming up Feb. 12 – 14 at Ward Parkway Center in Kansas City. Working on some new things for that as well. More details when the date approaches.
Besides that, I’m working on another project that I’m really excited about (more down the road), starting into my role as a substitute college art teacher for the next month, thinking about some light stop-motion silhouette animation work I want to do (on my new lightbox!), and plotting out the next 6 months of my life – which includes a rented van and a “working” road trip to South Dakota. Paper cuttings coming soon.
