Hello from Frisco, CO. I decided to camp out (in a Holiday Inn) here for the night. Above: A snapshot from my drive to Aspen last week.. I think I brought the rain to Colorado. It seems to be following me. First Denver: major rainstorm & flooding. Then last weekend, my Edwards show got rained out on Saturday, and then within the last hour on Sunday, some insane rain came pouring down, but even worse was the wind that tried to carry my tent away.. I ditched my sandals and ran about a quarter mile barefoot in that rain to retrieve my car from the artist lot so I could load all my stuff to keep it safe. Of course, as soon as I got to it, the rain turned into a drizzle. No art casualties, but one sidewall destroyed from the wind and now a car full of wet tent equipment which will likely be a smelly mess by the time I get to Boulder… I’d find a good spot to set it out to dry, but alas it’s still rainy, with rain forecasted in the area until Thursday. Hoping Boulder will be a bit drier. Despite the rain, it’s been a great trip. Really looking forward to some wilderness in a couple days. Tomorrow, I’ll go get my cosmic fix at the Gates Planetarium at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. It’s all in the stars. Til next time..
