Lightning, thunder, rain and a hawk taking refuge in the upper branches of a neighboring tree.. I had just been contemplating my own unease about violent midwestern storms when I looked out and saw the hawk shaking the water off of its feathers. I guess that’s all you can really do when all is said and done.
Regardless of how simple that sounds, I’m hoping for good luck in the weather department during this art fair season.. Last year was amazing except for a few extremely hot days, but I was never once rained out. A couple storms the previous summer left me thinking I’d have to abandon ship, including one straight line wind that just about took me with it but instead left me with broken glass and bloody hands. Who’da thunk an art fair could get so messy. Storms can be a little unnerving to say the least…
