Lucky her &#8211; she has a barred owl roosting in a tree trunk in her driveway! I&#8217;ve never seen a barred owl in person (in the wild, anyway). They have such mysterious faces and eyes- this is zoomed in pretty far, and the owl knew she (he?) had my attention &#8211; she turned her head and looked right at me. It didn&#8217;t help that I may have been squealing in delight&#8230; We saw her fly into the nest from a group of trees with a snake in her clutches.
