From a dusty country road in Kansas (where I would spend all my time if I could get away with it).

3 x 4.5 inch paper cutting. Sold.

“…I take to the open road…” (W. Whitman)
I’m planning a couple out-of-state art fairs this summer- looking forward to long highways and new scenery and lots of picture taking.

8 x 10 inch paper cutting (11 x 14 inch framed). I love birds and I love cats, and I see no reason why they can’t exist together harmoniously.

In Seattle. Cut paper elements and graphic design.

The hand that cuts the hand out of paper is the hand that is cut out of paper.

Coming up on March 20 at the Madrid Theater in Kansas City, I’ll be selling my wares at the Gypsy Emporium. It’s a new recurring event organized by Therese Livella of HarvestOfPeace.com. Something a little different and surely interesting and fun with music, food, belly dancers, etc… Come by! 10am – 4pm.
I’m also proud to announce that as of today, I am a card carrying member of the Guild of American Papercutters. Check out the organization’s website at papercutters.org.
I’ve got a solo paper cutting exhibit coming up on Dec. 3 through Jan. 7, 2011, at the Carnegie Arts Center in Leavenworth, KS. There will be an opening reception Friday, Dec. 3. I’ll update more when time draws nearer.
I’m also plotting out some ideas for a paper cutting class to teach at the Carnegie Arts Center in Leavenworth, KS. If you are in the area and are interested in taking a class, know folks who would be interested, or have some ideas of what you’d like to learn in class, shoot me an email (angela [at] ruralpearl [dot] com). I’ll update here if and when I get it organized.
