Next cutting coming up: a winter scene, bird included, of course. I’m using 4 layers of paper for this one. This is new for me – I’ve never used 4 full pages of paper for one cutting – bits and pieces maybe, but never the full page. So we’ll see what comes of it.. Anyway, it’s a gray day today. Its only September, but the weather is cooling, and, well, winter is my favorite season, so I look forward to it. I’ve got my winter playlist playing (a little Sera Cahoone, Julie Miller, Neil Young, Meat Puppets, Bela Fleck, Jenny Lewis, Cady Wire, blah blah blah, etc etc etc etc… it’s a lot of songs…) and I’ve been cutting all morning. Now’s for the assembly, mounting and framing. Next post: the full monty… Stay tuned.

Educating Herself Papercutting

Educating HerselfShe had books and such, but rather, she decided to go straight to the source, as she wanted much to be a bird. It all comes in stages, the realization, she realized.
