Tiny Little House
I’ve always wanted to live in a little house in a place like this.Harvest Moon – Paper Cutting
This is the finished product of the workings of yesterday’s post. I’ll be showing this in person in November at Crosstown Station. More details to come in the coming weeks.
I’ve got Pandora Radio on again (pardon me if I start sounding like a blogging advertisement – I’m not being paid for this..) – but wowza’s. Today I entered “Mississippi John Hurt” and I’ve been listening to the likes of Memphis Minnie, Snooks Eaglin, Furry Lewis, Lightnin’ Hopkins, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. This is exciting. I lost a LOT of my music awhile back during a horrid computer crash… It’s really nice to have this musical oasis while I am cutting away. It’s also sorta nice not knowing what’s coming next. Every song is a surprise. Anyway… back to work I go.
UPDATE: For Illustration Friday: “Unbalanced” – these birds look as if they are doing a bit of a balancing act. One of them is a little more balanced than the other.
This work is on exhibit at Crosstown Station in Kansas City through the month of November.
