Tissue Paper Experiment #243
Cut Tissue Paper.. Maybe not experiment #243.. more like #3 or 4.
PROS and CONS of Cut Tissue Paper:
Pros: Beautiful layered look because of transparency; makes great backdrop for dark silhouettes; it’s paper and you can cut it; it has a wonderful textured look once mounted.
Cons: It bleeds when you apply the glue to mount it (there is non-bleeding paper and I’m awaiting a shipment to give it a try); there isn’t a huge selection of color options – the colors I’m looking for are eluding me; it can bubble, stretch, and tear, especially when you are applying larger sections; it does not scan so well – will try using camera in future to get the image to computer.
I’m going to keep experimenting with it. I have a good feeling about it.
Flower Papercut
A quick little cut of a flower inspired by a new book full of flowers and floral designs…
Ruffled
A ruffled model that is, if there ever was one. Believe it or not, this is the same bird seen HERE – just a few seconds later as he flew to the other side of the road. Camera shy? Farthest thing from it. This bird is a Dickcissel by the way.
