Untitled. And some notes.
I’ve been in New York doing some bakery work and I had a few minutes to spare plus 1 dull exacto blade leftover from days past and some shoddy construction paper. So here’s what’s come of it (along with a few other things below). Tomorrow I go back to my sharp exacto blades and better paper.
Sidenote: When simultaneously shipping lots of things AND planning to buy a car, use the money you might rather hand over to certain shipping companies and make a down payment on said car and drive the things yourself. Lesson learned.

Pyrite – Limited Edition EP Collaboration
This is a limited edition signed cd collaboration between Sam Riley and myself. Sam wrote and recorded this 3 song solo EP at home on an analog recorder, and I designed and constructed each case and insert by hand. Each case is made of a thick black cardstock and was handcut and glued together with bookbinding glue to create a sleeve. If you hold it at the right angle, you can see on the back of the sleeve cut silhouettes of a wolf and a bird looking at eachother. The front features a western styled floral motif influenced by a favorite old pearl snap shirt.
You can purchase Pyrite at any upcoming Cady Wire show (Cady Wire is Sam’s band). The edition is of 30 and quite a few are now in the hands of a bunch of New Yorkers, but there’s a few left for some lucky Seattlers who are gonna get the pleasure of seeing Cady Wire play in the band’s new hometown soon. Visit Cady Wire on the web at www.myspace.com/cadywire or read some of Sam’s short stories at tinandspit.blogspot.com.
