Holy moly.. This Is Amazing. The most exciting bird watching experience I had this year was totally accidental: I was pulling my car up at a parking spot at a nearby lake and found a bald eagle sitting in the tree just in front of me. It flew off out of sight and then came right back to the same spot and circled around a few times before flying off to the north for good. It had a huge wingspan, and when it took off the first time, all the other birds, geese included, scattered.
This design was done as an idea for a tattoo, but I’ll be keeping the original paper cutting. Thinking about adding in some color, etc.. Anyway, here it is, in black and white.
I hate to admit that while trying to add some more details into this kitty (after this photo was taken), I botched him. The damage was irreparable. He now lives in my bedroom with his backside covered up by another paper cutting that also exists in disrepair. It’s like the land of broken toys in here! And I never throw anything away.
March flew by and suddenly it’s April. Time to put winter’s wear to bed and wake up to spring’s reminder that it’s time to get my tail in full-gear because starting in May (and especially June), I’ve got art show after art show pretty much through October. And it’s all good. Many new things to come during April.
Here’s my table at the fundraiser shopping event last week at Notre Dame De Sion. For a first-time event, the turnout was great! Thanks to everybody who came out! And so great to meet the other artists and vendors that were there.

Here’s the info from the organizer: Please come see us on Thursday, March 31, from 5:30 to 8:30 at the inaugural Sion Spring Shopping Fling benefiting the Notre Dame de Sion Lower Campus. A fabulous night is planned with a cooking demonstration by Jasper Mirabile, Jr. of Jasper’s Ristorante, as well as over 25 vendors for shopping merriment! Light apps and wine provided by Green Acres, Room 39, Genghis Khan, Brookside Market and Lew’s Grill and Bar and The Well-Bar-Grill-Rooftop in Waldo. Please come see us at 3823 Locust Street (Notre Dame de Sion Lower Campus) in the gymnasium. Tickets are just $10 at the door. All funds from this event will go towards upgrading the lower school kitchen. It will be a fantastic night!
